Resource of the Month – Early Learning – French – Dinosaurs & Number practice

Watch this simple nursery rhyme which plays on the word dinosaure and the numbers from 1 to 10 in French. Learners are asked whether each image shows Hector le – un (1) nosaure, deux (2) nosaure etc. and are encouraged to shout non each time, until they get to dix(10) nosaure – where they can shout: Oui, c’est Hector le dinosaure! Please note that for six (6) and dix (10), the “x” is silent when followed by another word starting with a consonant. A different dinosaur is used for each number so you can introduce/revise various French colours as well.
